Academic Advising
Academic advising provides students with regular guidance on course selection, program planning, and decisions related to their education.
Guiding principle: Each student is assigned an academic advisor who provides guidance throughout the student's education. Regular communication with the advisor supports well-planned academic progress and timely completion of the program.
Undergraduate Academic Advising
While students remain responsible for their academic decisions, advisors provide guidance in the following areas.
Course selection and registration
Selecting courses, reviewing the appropriate course load, and planning the academic aspects of the registration process.
Academic progress
Developing an academic plan for completing the curriculum and reviewing the student's progress through the program.
Policies and procedures
Guidance on university policies, relevant academic regulations, program requirements, and educational procedures affecting students.
Programs and career opportunities
Information and guidance on university programs, academic development options, and career opportunities.
After completing course selection, students must submit their registration for academic advisor approval through the University Information Management System. Registration is finalized only after the advisor's approval has been completed.
Thesis Supervision
Graduate students also select a thesis supervisor. The supervisor provides academic guidance in defining the thesis topic, planning the study, and conducting each stage of the thesis in accordance with academic standards.
