The 2nd ESKAR Women and Gender Symposium was organised by the Marmara University Center for Women and Gender Studies on 7–8 March 2017 as part of International Women’s Day. The symposium aimed to address issues of women’s labour and employment through an interdisciplinary approach encompassing sociological, psychological and legal perspectives. The symposium examined the situation of women in the workplace from a gender perspective, raising awareness through academic discussions. This book was compiled to preserve the content of the presentations, with contributions from the symposium further developed and transcribed.
